Convince Russ to give me the war-torn 360 that we currently have, mod it, get the games for free, and have him use his new slim 360.Buy a 360 Arcade at $119, mod it for another however many dollars, get the games for free, and completely defeat the point of not wasting $95.Buy a Japanese 360, Buy the games, and then be broke as fuck for a while.

I feel like they’ll drop support soon though.

With the PSP, you can just upgrade to 6.60, shop in the store, use a HEN with a downgrader, downgrade to 6.20, and then go from there… at least until they ever update again. This is similar with the 360, because if you mod your 360 at all, you’re likely to get instab& the moment you log in, or you’ll have a hard time getting it working. Regardless, if you’re modding your PS3 to use a CFW, you’re not going to be capable of using it. Difference is that, if I remember correctly, it’s harder with a PS3. If you google it, you’ll probably find it. I don’t remember how I found it or where I found it. So there’s a workaround that if you wanted to buy things from the JP PSN store, you can. I like the console versions because you can take the idols and mix them all to see which ones you think sing songs better, and who they sing better with. It’s fun to play, don’t get me wrong, but it could be better. You can only use 1 idol at a time, meaning you can’t produce groups of idols, and you only have some of the idols per each disk. I’ve found a lot of things which could be fixed, along with a few major errors.īut overall… the PSP version isn’t that good.

I haven’t figured out how to work their system to edit it myself. Along the way, I’m jotting down notes and realizing what I can send to the fan-translation team (what’s left of it) to fix. From what I know, it doesn’t work that way. You can’t exactly apply the translations directly to a PSP disk. I know that’s not exactly smiled upon, but the reason I’m doing so is to test the fan translations which have been done. Here’s the thing with PSP– I’m using ISO’s. Here’s the thing: Would you rather pay $95 for a recent version of a game, find out you don’t like it and then be stuck with it, or would you rather spend $25 on an older game with that same possibility? Either way, Yukiho has a much better VA in the original imo. But you’d still pay about $25 for the original games, had you the ability to play them?

My older brother and I share that console, so I’d rather not fuck with it. It might be more cost efficient to take apart the PS3 and downgrade instead of buying the game, but that’d void whatever warranty I could have, I’m still not guaranteed a working console, and there’s always the tiny fact that it’s not my console alone. Can’t downgrade without tearing apart your PS3 and buying a flasher, since the highest you can go from is 3.56. Too bad that I’m running OFW 3.73 though.

Why would I pay that much for a game I don’t completely understand? The only solution I would have had with the PS3 was to use a CFW, get an ISO of the game (which I have located), and run it that way.

The problem with the 360? Region locks, unless modded.īut wait! I have a PS3! I can still play 2! The PS3 and 360… not so good. You see, I’d be perfectly fine with buying the original games at $25 each right now. The problem? They’re both on the 360. It doesn’t use region locking, it can be easily modified for firmwares, and if you know how to work it right, you can access the PSN and buy extra content for other countries with it. This is good. The past couple of weeks, I’ve been playing for the PSP.
